Music Reflection 29/01/10

Today i did a singing performance and watched some performance from all my friends in the music class. i sing a jazz song titled "Sway", i think i did quite well in the singing especially in expression and confident however in the middle of the song i missed the pitch because this is the first time i'm solo singing in front of the class and because of the instrument music that make me to have a break for while and do some dance that required by the criteria. However at last i really disappointed with the way of the teacher to marked me, he said i'm improve from the last performance, however he still gave me the same mark, and it is really unfair, i can accept if he honestly said to me what are my mistakes and maybe i can be control my emotion during his class, seriously if i can go back to the performance stage i do not want to show my confidence and the expression that really embarrass, since i already did it, maybe i can do it again later on, for the future i will redo it again for sure, but i don't think he will give me a better score, if he still give me the same do not praise me too much, so next time i will give my best voice to get a better mark, hopefully.

Music Reflection 26/01/10

Today I did my group presentation in cool jazz and also watched some presentation from the other groups. i Think i did it quite well especially a strong confidence to speak in front of the class and our collaboration as a group also quite well, however i lack on memorizing the information from the slide so i need to keep looking back on the slide that's why i lack on eye contact, so for the future i will try to use palm card so that i would not lack on eye contact

Today i learnt how to compose a melody of jazz and the formula that we gonna use in jazz. We also watched some singing performance from some of our friend. I think i did all of them quit well and for the future i will study more about jazz scale

Music Reflection 19/01/10

Today i learnt how to sing and sing a jazz song titled "Sway" and about the 12 bars blues and we are divided into 6 groups to present about 6 diferent jazz types such as ragtime,swing,bebop,cool jazz, latinjazz,and fusion jazz. I think i did all of them in a great way because i satisfy with it. for the next time i will try to maintain my performance in every music class.

Today i learnt about what will i learn in this term 3 for music subject and a little background about what will i learn this term and i also got the class rule as well as an essential agreement. I think for the future i need to research about the topicof term 3 because i did not know much about jazz
